whitness nutrition MCN RDN CDE

Whitney is a nutrition expert. She holds a Masters in Clinical Nutrition from UTSW, with a supporting undergraduate in pre-med & physiology from SMU where she was awarded department Woman of the Year. Her practice & social brand, Whitness Nutrition, educates the masses of real-food rooted nutrition with an emphasis on balance, grace & evidence-based facts. Whitney delivers personal, one-on-one attention to every patient to develop customized programs based on specific barriers, lifestyle and goals.

Whitness Nutrition is a full-service nutrition private practice, focusing on holistic nutritional counseling, corporate nutrition and educational support to men, women, families, adolescents and athletes over all health, gender and age profiles.

Whitness Nutrition incorporates both intuitive eating and functional nutrition in virtual 1:1 sessions with patients. Education always comes first; we cover the basic principles of intuitive eating to move away from titling foods “good” and “bad.” We address nutritional deficiencies and their root cause, by taking a deep dive into “feeling better.”  We avoid overarching recommendations like “lose weight” and, “be healthy.” We create strategic action-based interventions to improve energy, mood, fatigue, insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances.

All guidance is based on Whitney’s persistent commitment to nutritional knowledge and research, a rapidly growing and improving field. She focuses on evidence-based research, backed by board-certified licensure and national accreditation. Her work experience in medical institutions provides a unique edge with her access to ever-evolving research and continued education.

A Personal Note

Whitney found her overwhelming passion for nutrition over the last decade through her own nutrition struggles; from disordered eating and the female athlete triad, to nutrition deficiencies, a Celiac diagnosis, food allergies, colitis and the constant stress of American’s “Eat this, Not That!” food industry. It became apparent that, through these struggles, she could educate and inspire the lives of others through both experience and now, expertise.

When she’s not at work; you’ll find Whitney sipping on a cold brew with her husband. Either, in her hometown Seattle, or on the patio of her Dallas home. She finds solace in providing for others and focusing on an addition mindset. Her hobbies include extravagant baking, serving at her local church, reading, joyful movement: boutique fitness and long runs with her mini-Aussie & last-minute travel.
